My Skincare routine for acne prone and sensitive skin

Please check this video out for my skincare routine. I'm currently inlove with this soap because it's all in one, I'm not too sure though if it's a good makeup remover but heck, I have a different cleanser for makeup so it doesn't matter. You can check my detailed review of this product  here. I remember breaking out whenever using this, maybe because I was using too much or idk, but I'm not blaming this toner or whatever you call it because it does make my skin dewy, it's a must use whenever my skin is drying like hell. You can check my detailed review of this product here. I use this sometimes when I'm in the mood. Good thing about this is that usually toners make me break out alot and this one doesn't, When I'm in the mood, I use this all over my body (THAT'S RIGHT! I notice that I break out whenever I use this everyday that is why I kinda lessened my use of this product. Treating Acne in Those With Dry Skin

Many of the acne skin care products you find over the counter are generally made for oily-skinned folks, and can be way too drying and irritating for your skin type (although there are now more skin care products specifically for treating acne in dry skin types.) Because acne treatments by their very nature are drying, treating your acne with dry skin can be quite challenging. But with the right steps, you can get good results from your acne treatments and keep your skin feeling fairly good too. Once your skin is feeling better, you can slowly start using your treatments again. Regular use of a moisturizer will help your skin look and feel better and will help combat treatment dryness. It won't help clear acne faster, but will dry your skin out in a hurry. Wash Your Skin Right. Don't over-wash the skin, or you may be stripping away the small amount of oil your skin needs to protect it from dryness. Cleansing 101: What You Need to Know About Cleansing Your Skin. Protect Your Skin from the Elements. With careful selection of your skin care products and treatment medications, you can control acne and dry skin. HELP! Facial cleansing routine for oily, acne - prone skin

I was using the Pro Activ system, and it works okay for me, but 1) it's WAY too expensive, and 2) I'm wondering if there is anything out there that is better. Neutrogena for oily skin is one of the best drugstore beauty brands, hands-down, and you can't go wrong with this simple acne wash for acne-stricken skin. This classic cleanser can be a bit drying, so test the product before you buy. Flaxseed oil is great for improving skin and calcium. The one for oily skin. I usually stick with neutrogena, so for your toner, you can just pick any toner really as long as it doesnt contain alcohol, and i use the neutrogena oil free moisture for combination skin. Salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide can kill bacteria and usually are added to pimple cleansers to prevent bacteria infection on skin pores. But it can not go inside pores and the pores could still be clogged with oil. The best cleanser which can cleans skin pores, as we know, is Chlorella Gel Cleanser. Bad Skin Habits That Lead to Acne - Acne Center

Break your skin care bad habits to prevent acne and enjoy the healthy glow of clear skin. Here are the top bad habits that can take a toll on your acne-prone skin, resulting in pimples and blemishes: 1: Washing your skin too often. Though it's important to keep your skin clean, washing it too often will only make acne worse. 2: Vigorously scrubbing your skin. Scrubbing your skin with a washcloth, loofah, or harsh exfoliant will cause significant irritation — and may worsen your acne-prone skin. 4: Picking at your skin and popping your pimples. Instead, keep your hands off your face and let pimples go back down to size with the help of an anti-acne lotion or cream. If you've got oily hair, that oil can seep down onto your face — and cause pimples. Make sure you wash your hair each day to keep excess oil off of your forehead, face, and back to help prevent acne. Cover your face when applying these products to keep them on your hair and off your skin. So stick to a healthy diet without greasy, fried foods to spare your skin — and your health. If you're using prescription acne medications for your pimples, it's great news when your skin starts to clear up. Replace your bad skin care habits and practices with good ones to help bring acne under control. With a few simple changes, your skin — not your pimples — will be glowing. more...

Dos and don’ts for acne - prone skin

Dos and don’ts for acne-prone skin. Acne is a common skin condition that occurs when skin pores become clogged and bacteria settles in, causing the pore to become infected. Several factors can contribute to developing acne such as oily skin, hormones, diet, skin care products and even your skin care routine. The good news is that acne is treatable and often can be controlled or even prevented with the right skin care treatment plan. Fields and Rodan explain that acne occurs when dead skin cells combine with the skin's natural oil, clumps together inside the pore and creates an ideal environment for bacteria to flourish. The good news is that, with the right combination of medicines, those with acne can enjoy skin that's as clear and healthy-looking as someone who had no acne at all. The secret is finding the right combination of medicines and skin care treatments that work for you." Caring for acne-prone skin can be tricky until you find the right combination or skin care products that work best for you. Not everyone who has acne has oily skin, and many acne skin care products can be harsh. Tanning can be damaging to your skin if you are acne-prone and are using either prescription topical cleansers or over-the-counter acne treatments. more...

My Skin Care Regimen for Acne - prone, Oily, Sensitive Skin

After years of being a hamster, trying different products and methods that will work for my skin type, I'm here to share with you some of what I've learned and discovered - my skin care regimen for acne-prone, oily, sensitive skin. I have very oily, sensitive and acne-prone skin. My face is also sensitive that I really have to be careful with the products that I use that's why I read the ingredients label of the products that I use not just for my skin but for my hair too. These cause premature aging and can clog pores, can instantly give more acne especially if we have the same skin type! Most shampoos contain this and could really irritate the skin (if you're getting body acne especially on your back and shoulders, this might be the culprit) The typical skin care regimen is cleanse, tone and moisturize but what about for people with acne-prone, oily and sensitive skin? Before the next step, make sure your skin is already dry and make sure your face towel is clean. What I also love about this toner is that it contains not only tomato extract, but also chamomile, lavender and rosemary that are perfect for treating inflamed acne. 5-10 minutes after toning (enough time for the toner to be absorbed by the skin), this is where Dan's regimen highlight comes in - 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. This is the time you give your skin to absorb the benzoyl peroxide. I hope this skin regimen works for me for a very long time. I am still wishing that this skin care regimen works for me for a very long time. more...

How to Prevent Acne : 10 Tips for Acne - Prone Skin

10 Tips for Acne-Prone Skin. And soap has a higher p H than your skin, which can over-dry skin and cause oil production to go into overdrive—which you definitely don’t need. Scrubbing seems like the perfect way to cleanse and purify, but for most acne-prone skin, anything more than a teensy bit of exfoliation is way too much. Use fingertips to massage skin gently (a little blood flow is good, but don’t go crazy) and avoid abrasive ingredients like beads altogether. It targets acne by sloughing away dead skin cells that clog pores and lead to breakouts. Unlike benzoyl peroxide, it won’t kill bacteria, but it also won’t suck all of the moisture from your skin or cause peeling and redness. When your skin is acting up, reaching for concealer and foundation is a knee-jerk reaction. They contain ingredients like silica, titanium dioxide, and zinc oxide that sop up excess oil without clogging pores, are usually a good bet for pimple-prone skin. Try changing up your hair care routine with products that are fragrance-free and don’t contain paraben preservatives. The last thing acne-prone skin needs is added dirt and bacteria from roving hands. And fight the urge to pick or pop pimples: Squeezing skin not only causes irritation and aggravates breakouts, but it also comes with the risk of scarring. The jury is out whether there is a definitive link between dairy and acne, but many skin care experts agree that the components in milk related to testosterone hormones may stimulate oil glands, creating a breeding ground for acne. Try cutting out dairy for 2 weeks to see how your skin reacts. So, these products are an ace in the hole for acne-prone skin, right? The best bet is to look for oil-free products that don’t contain additional ingredients like artificial fragrances and preservatives, as these commonly cause skin reactions. more...

The Prioress Makeup : My Asian Skincare Routine

So yup I try to spend on the stuff I use for my face because there was a time in my life I would just buy anything that looked nice and I ended up breaking out all over. In the evening, I use heavy, clarifying products to nourish and deep cleanse the entire day's dirt and residue off my face. Evens out the skin tone and gives and overall radiance to the face after cleaning. It has fine micro-beads which lightly exfoliate the skin gentle enough for everyday use. I use a light toner for the day because having a skin that's too dry might cause your makeup to look cakey during the day. This essence evens out the skin and gives a radiant and dewy finish without feeling heavy on the face. 2.) Deep Cleansing: Shu Uemura Fresh Pore Clarifying Gentle Cleansing Oil - I use this at night because it's made to unclog pores so I'd have less problems with blemishes such as blackheads, whiteheads and acne caused by the makeup I wear during the day. It's a little drying, much like the feeling of a salicylic acid treatment on the face. I love this serum because not only does it brighten and even out my skintone, it also has Retinol which is has great healing properties for the face (anti-aging, anti-acne, etc.) Although putting retinol on the face makes it more vulnerable to the sun so better use all your retinoids at night! Sometimes when I cry at night and apply this, my eyes don't look puffy the next morning! 6.) Night Cream: Clarins Multi Active Night Youth Recovery Cream - this is the counterpart of my Clarins day cream. The Face Shop has nice masks for different skin types and skin problems. Makes your skin look dewy and supple in the morning when you wash it off. more...
