Hey guys, Today’s a post about how I take care of my skin at the current moment and a few extra things I might do every now and then. A cleanser is important because sometimes its not enough to just rinse your face off with water to get rid of the dirt, using a cleanser helps get rid of everything and allow other products to work better on your skin. The instructions for this cleanser are to wipe off and not to rinse off and so I use a cleaner cotton pad to wipe it all off or perhaps a baby wipe when I’m not happy about whether or not the dirt is all gone. A toner is important as it softens and calms the skin while removing the last traces of dirt/Make Up; They also contain skin repairing ingredients and reducing redness or dry patches. I also use Body Shop’s Vitamin E toner as I find its soft and hydrating for me on my skin. The day cream is for dry and sensitive skin, it gives you triple protection by containing Vitamin E, Ceramide and UV Filter. The night cream is suitable for all skin types and contains ceramide and glycerin. Now Vitamin E helps the skin by protecting it from environmental pollution and UV radiation, it also contains anti-inflammatory properties and wound healing properties. Ceramide is important for the skin as it traps water molecules, this means your skin is more hydrated and moisturised. I use this when I feel my skin needs a very slight exfoliation as the pads provide this with its shape and help to nourish my skin. Otherwise, my last important part of my skin care routine is putting on Lip Balm and at the moment I’m using my all time favourite Body Shop Mango Lip balm.
Your skin is no exception. Continued maintenance and a daily skin care routine for your face can help you look and feel your best. Your skin can get more oily during puberty, so it’s best to give it the daily care it needs. Determine Your Skin Type. Understanding whether your skin is dry, sensitive, oily or combination (spots of oily skin, spots of dry skin) can help maximize the effects of your products. Once you find out what kind of skin you have, look to use products that are made specifically for your type. They will help address your skin type’s needs. The gentle cleansers can clean while not drying out your face. Also, if you have oily skin make sure your cleanser cleans away oil instead of striping your face of all the moisture. Exfoliating will help rid your skin of dead cells and help you feel clean and refreshed. Additionally, it’ll give your skin a soft and supple appearance. Adding moisture to your daily skin care routine will keep your face looking fresh and radiant throughout the day. While your skin may not feel like it’s dry, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t need moisture.

In general, the natural oil cleansing method is a great solution for any skin type, though the combinations of oils varies based on skin type (see below). The best combination of natural skin care options varies based on skin types: Switching to gentle and natural skin care options often goes a long way toward removing excess oil production, but in the meantime, there are some natural ingredients that can help prevent breakouts and remove excess oil. Moisturizing/Toning: Those with oily skin will need less moisturizing as skin adjusts, and often, the natural oils from oil cleansing are enough. Those with skin that is not typically oily or dry and that responds well to different types of products and makeup usually adjust very quickly to natural skin care options. My skin was more oily when I was younger and as I’ve transitioned to natural skin care options, it has become more “normal” so these are the options that I use: Those with dry or aging skin often benefit immediately from natural skin care options. Often, using natural oils on the skin helps the skin to balance oil production and stop being dry to begin with. The supplements that seemed to have made the biggest difference in skin health for me are: Fermented Cod Liver Oil – for the Vitamins A, D and K, Omega-3s and Antioxidants, all which are great for the skin. Try this two-pronged approach to ayurvedic beauty: an external routine and an internal routine that will give you healthy, glowing skin. The following skincare routine was designed by ayurvedic experts Pratima Raichur (an ayurvedic consultant and the author of Absolute Beauty) and Melanie Sachs (the author of Ayurvedic Beauty Care). Make an ubtan by mixing equal parts chickpea flour (a gentle natural exfoliant) and dry milk powder (which is nourishing for the skin) in a jar. Sprinkle 2 teaspoons into the palm of your hand, add water to make a thin paste, and scrub lightly over wet skin in the shower. For an introductory practice, Raichur recommends the following: Pour some oil on your palm and massage your scalp, the tops and bottoms of your feet, and the rest of your body, including your abdomen and spine. So this self-massage ritual is essentially spreading love and nourishment to all of the tissues in your body, as well as to your mind and senses.” The same principles—cleanse, nourish, and moisturize—apply to facial care. Put some plain water or rose water in a spray bottle and spritz the face a few times to moisten the skin. Ayurvedic beauty experts agree: To cultivate glowing skin and a sense of inner balance, design a dinacharya (daily routine) with the following health-boosting activities. It helps circulate the lymph and blood, tones the muscles, and helps you connect with your breath—three actions that improve your beauty on subtle but important levels. Raichur notes, “Respiratory changes affect the skin and body as well as our moods: shallow breathing pales the complexion, for example; heavy breathing makes it flush.

Today I am going to show you the products I use and what I do to keep my skin looking and feeling healthy. The first thing I use, and I have been using this for years, is the Clarisonic brush. I use this with a cleanser that is compatible with my skin, for me that’s the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash as I have acne prone skin. I use this with the clarisonic brush every morning to help clean my skin and make sure my pores are clean as well. This has a light orange scent that is not overpowering and feels wonderful on the skin. The vitamin C in this is great for producing collagen and antioxidants. I only do this in the morning after I have used my Clarisonic brush and I allow it to sit for several minutes to give it time to fully penetrate the skin before moving on to a moisturizer. I use the Clinique All About Eyes and I use this right before going to bed. This is the final thing I use in my skin care routine and it’s the one you have to be the most careful with. I have worked up to using it every night but this is gradual and takes time as not to harm the skin. I hope this helps you all in getting and maintaining your skin so it can be the healthiest skin you can have.
This one is focused on my nighttime skincare routine, using all Korean skincare products, and following the typical Korean skincare routine. It’s wintertime now, so my skincare routine is focused on getting the most amount of moisture into my skin as possible. I use one pump and massage it into my slightly damp skin. I use this one when I feel like my skin is extra dry or dull, as it’s a very moisturizing toner. If it’s around that time of the month, or I feel like my skin might be having some issues, I use the AC Care Water Essence, which I reviewed here . Before Winter really hit, I was using the AC Care Bee’s Cure Serum and the Repair Complex as my serum and emulsion, but I found that my skin didn’t feel moisturized enough (winter is rough), so I switched to the Missha Super Aqua Marine Cell Intensive Serum and Control Emulsion. I pump the serum into my hands, rub them together and gently pat it on my face. My nighttime routine is when I pile on the moisture, so that’s why I use both a cream and sometimes a sleeping pack. I use the Missha Super Aqua Ultra Water-Full Cream, which was totally an impulse buy after the sales woman tested a bit on my hand and I sort of melted. It’s perfect for people with dry skin, or for people who want a little moisture boost in the winter. I like this cream so much I actually use it in the daytime too. After applying my cream, I will sometimes opt to add just that extra layer of moisture and use my Nature Republic Super Aqua Max Deep Moisture Sleeping Pack. And I know some people may think that my skin must look like an oil spill by the time I go to bed, but nope. That’s the beauty of Korean products, they all seem to magically absorb into my skin, instead of just sitting on top of it.

So as the weather warms up, try these expert tips to switch up your spring skin care routine for radiant, healthy skin. For spring skin care, swap your heavy moisturizer for a lighter lotion if your skin is normal, or skip it altogether if you have oily, acne-prone skin.
