I use these daily and they are all given the A+ recommendation by me. I love this moisturizer because it’s lightweight, and smells clean. I LOVE the mascara in Korea because it is super thick, and I love really thick, voluminous lashes. I like my lashes to almost look fake, and that’s why I love the mascara here. It feels really soothing to the eyes, it’s not oily at all, and it’s moisturizing. I like the Skin Food Milk Shake makeup remover because it’s also non irritating and it gets all my eye makeup off in about 2 swipes. Skin Food Argan Oil Silk Hair Mask Pack: I picked this stuff up at Skin Food just curious about it, when the sales lady ran over to me and told me it would be perfect for my hair. I like this because it smells nice, it’s really easy to use, and the brushes dry quickly. It’s not overly sweet, and it has just the right hints of spice. And I absolutely love the smell. I love love love love love this stuff and I’ll buy it again and again. The taste is meh, but the color is awesome and long lasting. Those are the items I want to buy for all of my friends and send back home. This is a pic I took of myself today, and decorated with the Deco Pic app.

*You just have to use the cotton sheet provided inside to wipe off your black and white heads* This is the cotton sheet given for *step 2*, nothing much, you just have to use it to wipe off the excessive dirt from your face. Overall: The pros I must say that it is very easy to use, as you just have to use the cotton sheet given to wipe off the black and white heads, but SADLY, it doesn't work at all for me. Pros: Affordable (because it is on sales) & the only effect I see on my skin is hydrating and nothing more than that I would say. I get this from The Sops (Publika Mall), so far I have only tried the Egg Peel off Pack and I love it! Packaging: Cool because each pack comes with 3 pairs of eye mask and you can reseal it after you use it and keep it for the next usage! These are the BB Cream I have in my current collection (all from Korea as well) =) As you can see the first BB cream (Skin Food), the coverage is very low and it is water based as it design to hydrate your skin! For the second BB cream( Etude House), the coverage is medium to full, and it is in skin color. For the third BB Cream (An Premium), the coverage is high and the texture is very thick, and a little grayish in color, when you further blend it it will finish off in natural skin tone color to suits your own skin tone. Comments: Yes, I love this product because after cleansing with this cleansing gel you will feel your skin is smooth and it is also soothes your skin, suitable for sensitive skin as well.
Although I’ve tried my fair share of Korean products (and swatched/sampled an even fairer share), it’s still but a teeny fraction of everything that is out there! But more often than not, I find that most products (in this price range) perform comparably to one another. And lastly, it turns out that many of the products that did stand out to me have been discontinued! Out of the small handful of oil cleansers I’ve tried, I liked this Etude House one best: But other than that, I think there are many toners that do the job (of hydrating and softening) just fine. This is actually the 2014 upgraded version, but I reckon it’s similar to the one I tried…From what I remember, it was good to my dry skin. But other than that one, I liked this one too: At the time I had dry, rough, and oily skin, and this serum put everything in check. Anywho, this eye cream is moderately rich (but not greasy) and has done a great job of lightening my dark circles. And as it turns out, this eye cream lightens acne scars well, too!

Koreans have been at the forefront of the beauty industry for centuries, but it wasn't until a little product called BB cream hit the market that cosmetics companies from around the world wanted to know everything there is to know about Korean beauty innovation. Read on for more information about Koran beauty, skincare and BB creams. A BB cream is sort of like foundation, except it's light in consistency and coverage, and, most importantly, it improves the quality of your skin. Hanskin became the first Korean beauty company to specialize exclusively in BB cream and the product quickly spread all over the country. You really need to know your skin type in order to find the BB cream that best suits your skin, but for those of you outside of Korea who are curious, these are the Top 5 best BB cream brands in my country: My favorite BB cream is Caolion Sensitive BB Cream, but before you go ahead and order a tube, it's important to address your skin type first. Caolion works best for me, but it might not be the best BB cream for you. My skin was highly sensitive after treatment, but this BB cream helped calm the irritation and was surprisingly soothing on my skin. Caolion Sensitive BB Cream doesn't provide the best coverage, but the application is very smooth. I personally love to put a bit of BB cream on the back of my hand and apply it with a beauty blender sponge. The following brands are the biggest and most influential Korean brands:

Basically, these splash masks are unlike any mask you've tried before, mainly because they come in liquid form and take all of 15 to 30 seconds to use (meaning that I could have been on time to those parties). The masks are a blend of botanical extracts and lactic acid, which helps to re-texturize your skin. To use this mask, you mix about a capful of the stuff with a bowl of water, and then splash (as the name suggests) the mixture on your face for under half a minute, rinse, and boom—you're done. If you are mess-prone or just really not into adding extra dirty dishes to the ever-growing pile in your sink, you can also take the mask into your shower, pour a capful of product into your palms, and pat onto your face for 20 seconds or so. The video below shows just how to use the mask, with music, graphics, and all. Results included soft, radiant, and glow-y skin, and the masks have been selling out at glowrecipe.com . Blithe Splash Masks come in soothing and healing green tea, (energizing) yellow citrus and honey, and rejuvenating purple berry, with green tea as the fan favorite.
The company claims that it listens to and values its customers feedback. - Sidmool Alpha Whitening Power Ampoule at night and in the morning. - Sidmool Alpha Whitening Power Ampoule at night and Sidmool Snail Brightening Liposome Essence in the morning. All of that in addition to making your bust and butt bigger at the same time. All of that in addition to the power of autosuggestion and (scientifically proven and peer-reviewed) placebo effects. And the final dud of the evening? Sake brewery and skincare haul all at the same time? They also work with cosmetic chemists and scientists to make sure that their products are up to the highest standards. And that's how the strawberry infused cream was born. Very short and very sweet, because unlike the freakshow that was Shu Uemura Blanc: Chroma cushion foundation , these crayons are awesome. So it's sticks and crayons for me all the way. One reviewer on the American Shu site complained that "they are good for only a few times and there is no way to get more crayon." Incidentally, Shu Uemura is a L'Oreal brand, and it's been said that the Infallibles make for good Shu dupes. You have all the pros and cons.
I use it both as a scrub and a mask. As with all masks and scrubs, avoid your eye area. This is my second favourite Skinfood mask and again, one I’ve been using for years. The Peppermint Pore Diet Peel-Off Mask is perfect for minimizing pores and brightening your skin by removing dead skin. This product is a peel-off mask meaning that you apply a thin layer after cleansing and drying your face. As with all masks, avoid your eye area and mouth. While I tend to use it more in the summer – and the mask below in the winter – that’s just me, it’s a great year-round, one-a-week mask for most skin types. While the name of this moisturizing peel-off mask is a mouthful, it’s a delightful mask to use and my favourite of the many Face Shop masks. Like most peel-off masks, cleanse and dry your face before apply a thin (but not too thin) layer. After applying it, wait 15 minutes or until it’s dry and gently and slowly peel it off. It’s a great moisturizing mask and so I tend to use it once a week in the winter months – Canadian winters can be quite dry and harsh on your skin (or at least mine). It’s gentle and good for all skin types.
But this product is very fun because you can feel the bubble popping on your face. The function of this product is to clean your pore. And then only i realize that there is a very thoughtful design which if you cant finish it, you actually can seal it into the slit provided. I am not sure if you can see the slit. You can stuff the cover into the slit like this. Frankly, i dont like the smell of this product because it smells very artificial which means FOR ME it smells like it is chemical made product, not natural product . This is the must buy from banila co other than their primer. I am not sure you can see it cleary but i circle it up the little scoop provide to scoop the make up removal. I like the smells of this product. This product can be daily use .

The most high-profile brand in Amore will probably be Sulwhasoo. A brand that gave Amore the revenue to produce their other brands though it went through many rebranding throughout the decades. Amore Pacific – the brand. Sulwhasoo – this is their premium oriental medicine skincare line that is the best selling korean brand in history. Verite & Primera – Amore’s naturalism brand ( don’t know what is the difference and why they need two ) Mamonde – Amore’s skincare brand for the younger generation. LG ( yes the same one that does the machines and handphones ) is Amore’s biggest competitor in Korea and they have brands to compete head on with each other. The History Of Whoo – oriental medicine brand to compete with Amore’s Sulwhasoo. But do know that all the mass brands like Missha, Tonymoly, Enprani, It’s Skin have their own oriental medicine line. This is how popular oriental medicine skincare is in Korea, and it is the biggest selling skincare sector every year! The other luxury brands are all in the ‘Oriental Medicine Skincare’ above. The luxury Korean brands are excellent and truly top-notch.
There was a time when the harvesting of these birds nests from their natural caves was ecologically devastating, but the days of cave harvesting are over. I was able to find research backing the skincare benefit claims of some of the individual components of a bird’s nest, but could find no research in English that studied the bird’s nest as a whole in terms of skincare benefits. But if the skincare benefits are as real as they seem, I certainly don’t want to miss out. Bee venom has been used for years to treat arthritis, back pain, and rheumatism, but as a skincare ingredient, it’s still a newcomer. The idea is that the skin benefits from it because of a compound contained in the venom called “melitten.” Melitten contains anti-inflammatory properties that are said to be stronger than hydrocortisone. I was unable to find a completed study specifically regarding the effects of bee venom in skincare. No doubt you’ve seen American products advertising stem cell technology, but the difference is that the stem cells in American products are plant derived. The skincare benefits of using these stem cells, sometimes called called RG 2, is increased cell regeneration and sun damage reversal. There have been many studies done on the efficacy of stem cell technology in skincare, and it looks as though the claims are true. Stem cell based skincare is huge in Korea, with many experts arguing that it’s the greatest innovation in skincare to date. It has the potential to be huge here, but there is a lot of controversy over stem cell research and usage in this country. Most products featuring Syn-ake are serums, although there are some skincare lines that feature moisturizing creams and emulsions containing the compound. Like bee venom, Syn-ake is touted as a Botox alternative, but what sets it apart is that there have actually been studies done on its safety and efficacy. What I’ve learned from all this is that I apparently have no boundaries when it comes to skincare.
Korean Skin Care Secrets. They are renown for their beauty and have made Korean beauties skin care highly sought after :-) KOREAN SKIN CARE: We shed dead cells less frequently and as such the skin starts looking dull due to cell build up. Do not undo all the effects of a whitening skin care range by missing out on sunblock in the day. I would refrain from frequent facial massage, especially for problem skin types and young skin. I know some people attribute their clear skin to BB creams and its fantastic that they have found what works for them but there will be those few, like myself, who get cystic acne with BB Creams. BB creams and foundations probably enhance the skin by making it appear more radiant and healthy . Not every Korean woman has flawless skin and that goes for just about any country. Their Korean Drama Actors always have a thick slab of foundation/BB cream on their face, so its best not to be fooled and to know that even the beautiful use makeup to attain that flawless glowing skin. In the past I probably watched every Korean serial there was and it was pretty evident that they love their facial mask. Places like Korea with the different seasons and drier climate would require frequent moisturisation or moisture replenishment for non flaky, dewy, radiant skin . For the hot tropics, I would say Fruit , Yogurt and clay mask would be safer bets for our naturally “oiler” skin. Do not tug at the skin or you risk wrinkles. Gd luck in the eternal quest for clear radiant Korean Looking Skin!
Korean Skin Care. When it comes to Korean skin care, the women from this region have hundreds of years of history with caring for the skin in ways that get rid of wrinkles and create supple skin. Typical Korean skin care products contain a wide array of natural and exotic ingredients to maintain healthy skin. Basics of Korean Skin Care. In a typical Korean skin care routine the day should begin with drinking a tall glass of water, followed by an invigorating facial wash. A key ingredient in many Korean skin care products is snail slime. Birds nest is another ingredient in many Korean skin care products. The syn-ake line of beauty products in Korean skin care is an alternative version of what we know as Botox in the United States. Syn-ake does not need to be applied through injections, and is an ingredient in facial serums in Korean skin care products. In Korean skin care, bee venom has many of the same properties as syn-ake. Bee venom is often applied to the skin topically, as an ingredient in creams and moisturizers.
Whether they’re born beautiful, or whether it is their beauty regime, we all cherish and idolize the radiant, acne-free, and flawless skin that Korean women possess. But what is the secret of their beautiful skin and can we get a flawless skin like them too? The main difference between the Korean skin care and the other skin care regimes is that Koreans are taught to take care of their skin right from childhood. They consider skin care as the ultimate investment and spend considerable time in taking care of it. A good skin care regime reduces the chances of unwanted blemishes and other skin problems and makes your skin radiant . Cleansing and exfoliating help remove the impurities from the skin and unclog the pores for a smooth and refreshed skin. Toning sets the skin after cleansing and exfoliating so that the skin absorbs the moisturizer well. They replenish and nourish the skin, and simultaneously, shrink the size of pores. This is what toners actually do – refresh the skin and set it for the next skin care regime. It helps to brighten the skin and preserve its elasticity.
There are a ton of whitening products in the Korean and Japanese skincare markets, and many of the multi-functioning products tout whitening properties as one of the major attributes. The nice thing about this layering technique is that you are not obligated to use Asian skincare products to do it. There are a lot of online shops as well as Amazon and Ebay sellers that carry Korean & Japanese skincare products. This is a list of online stores and sellers that I know carry authentic products from Korean and Japanese skincare brands. Wishtrend – Wishtrend is one of the first online Korean Beauty retailers to pop up on the scene, and they carry a large array of products from brands that are sometimes hard to find in other places. The selection is HUGE, products are authentic, and the prices are very, very low. They have a huge selection of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean skincare products. I Am Love Shop – Huge selection of Korean skincare products from most of the major brands, such as Etude House, Lioele, Missha, OST, Aritaum, Innisfree, Ciracle, and many others. Cosmetic Love on Amazon – This shop has a great variety of Korean cosmetics and skincare products, and the prices are very good. The Beauty Wolf – This is a newcomer to the beauty blogging scene covering a lot of Korean makeup and skincare products, as well as a few Western products.
Here are the steps for a typical Korean skin care routine: Most people think toners are useless/overkill/drying to the skin, but if you pick the right toner for your skin type, it will be well worth your money. While many Western toners are designed to simply balance your skin's p H levels, many Asian toners aim to do that AND hydrate the skin with nutrients. I like to think that this is THE product to use when you're unhappy or unsatisfied with your skin in someway. Okay, so emulsion may not be for everyone, so depending on the season and/or your skin type, you may or may not need to use am emulsion. If you have oily skin, you may not need to use emulsions in your daily skin care routine. That way, your skin can heal while you sleep (which is, by the way, super important to your skincare routine!), and you wake up with beautiful, radiant skin :) You would use the exfoliator or peel after your gentle cleanser and before your toner. Sheet masks are great for any skin types, and should be used depending on your skin type. Depending on the season, the condition of your skin, etc., you may want to use sheet masks 1-3 times a week.
The average Korean woman has easily more than ten products in her daily skin-care routine, and the country's philosophy of good skin dates back to the Dongui Bogam, a Korean medical text from the 1600s. Green tea: This natural wonder has long been touted for its countless health and beauty benefits, and now Korean brand Amore Pacific has perfected the science behind cultivating and extracting the most powerful benefits of EGCG, an antioxidant only found in green tea. All of the EGCG comes from green tea grown in fields on the Korean island of Jeju, which has the optimal climate for the most potent tea leaves. Ginseng: Used in traditional Eastern medicine, ginseng has many health and beauty benefits and is only found naturally in a few places in the world; Korea's ginseng is prized the most. Airless pumps: Another skin-care innovation that has taken the Korean market by storm is airless dispensing pumps. What makes this sort of packaging so special is that it keeps the product from being contaminated and oxidized.

Korean Brand Skin Care Product Review: Zymogen Green Apple AHA Series. Anyway, today’s blog post content is gonna be very different from the usual food and lifestyle posts cuz it’s my very first time doing a review on skin care products! Needless to say, I start with cleansing my face with the Zymogen Green Apple AHA Wash Foam ($25, 250ml). The natural AHA contained in an apple exfoliates the old dead skin cells gently to make the texture of the skin smooth and even. The consistency is gel-like and lathers easily on the face. The Zymogen Green Apple AHA Toner ($34, 105ml) contains organic acids from fermented Korean famous ‘Yesan Apple’ extracts which recover your skin’s soft and smooth texture soft through eliminating old skin cells and rough skin texture, while apple and licorice root extracts help pore control for oily and combination skin types. The toner leaves a light and fresh feeling on my face. Believe it or not but I have never ever included an emulsion in my skin care routine before prior to using the Zymogen Green Apple AHA Emulsion ($34, 105ml). The absorption is quick and upon application, my face feels moisturized instantly. I don’t have the habit of using face cream too because of my oily skin. However, the Zymogen Green Apple AHA Cream ($35, 50ml) is highly recommended for almost all skin types. As the Zymogen Green Apple AHA 10 Essence ($39, 30ml) contains a high concentration of over 10% of AHA, a patch test is highly recommended to determine if your skin is suitable for it. If you have noticed, I did not really describe the effects that each of the above five products have on my face individually because I used all of them together and it would be difficult to pinpoint which product did what. All I can say is that, on the overall, I am very happy with the results derived from using Zymogen Green Apple AHA products because my face is visibily more radiant and skin tone is more even after just one week.
Review: The History of Whoo Hwanyugo Essence. ~The History of Whoo Hwanyugo Essence~ The History of Whoo's Hwanyugo Essence is a masterpiece created with some of the finest herbal cosmetic ingredients and works to provide your skin with an immediate lustrous look. Hwanyu Essence was created by supplementing gihyeoljeong, which is an essence of the skin and promotes circulation, with paljinbojeongdan formula. When used together with Hwanyugo, Hwanyu Essence create yin-yang harmony and improves fine races of aging on the skin. Review: The History of Whoo Hwanyugo Essence is an essence targeted for fine, deep and stubborn wrinkles - guarantees to make skin look 10 years younger - very alluring hehe : P. This product really sinks into the skin, without any stickiness - and it plumps up your skin immediately. If you have dry skin, this essence is VERY moisturizing and hydrating to the skin. If you have oily skin, I recommend using this essence at night only - and do not apply a lot of the product - about half a pea-size. I was a bit skeptical with this product at first (even though I am in love with The History of Whoo products)- but you have to allow this product to work and treat the skin for at least a month until you see full results.

This one is focused on my nighttime skincare routine, using all Korean skincare products, and following the typical Korean skincare routine. It’s wintertime now, so my skincare routine is focused on getting the most amount of moisture into my skin as possible. I use one pump and massage it into my slightly damp skin. I use this one when I feel like my skin is extra dry or dull, as it’s a very moisturizing toner. If it’s around that time of the month, or I feel like my skin might be having some issues, I use the AC Care Water Essence, which I reviewed here . Before Winter really hit, I was using the AC Care Bee’s Cure Serum and the Repair Complex as my serum and emulsion, but I found that my skin didn’t feel moisturized enough (winter is rough), so I switched to the Missha Super Aqua Marine Cell Intensive Serum and Control Emulsion. I pump the serum into my hands, rub them together and gently pat it on my face. My nighttime routine is when I pile on the moisture, so that’s why I use both a cream and sometimes a sleeping pack. I use the Missha Super Aqua Ultra Water-Full Cream, which was totally an impulse buy after the sales woman tested a bit on my hand and I sort of melted. It’s perfect for people with dry skin, or for people who want a little moisture boost in the winter. I like this cream so much I actually use it in the daytime too. After applying my cream, I will sometimes opt to add just that extra layer of moisture and use my Nature Republic Super Aqua Max Deep Moisture Sleeping Pack. And I know some people may think that my skin must look like an oil spill by the time I go to bed, but nope. That’s the beauty of Korean products, they all seem to magically absorb into my skin, instead of just sitting on top of it.
As for the effectiveness of the product, treat it as a normal toner that is important in maintaining a good skin. But at least, ladies and gentlemen, we can have the snow white skin we are dreaming of. And that is, with the help of this wonder cream from Etude House- the Moistfull White Cream. The cream is perfect for whole face application since the Moistfull White line has this spot cream that is suitable for dark spots (not the whole face) only. But the drawback is that, it is expensive at almost 1000 pesos. As for the results, I can say that it is an average one. Well, Nature Republic has an answer for that and that is with the help of their Hawaiian Fresh Line, particularly, the Hawaiian Fresh Clear Spot Solution. I bet, one of the first product that I have reviewed for this blog comes from the same line, of course a different product. The liquid is clear and has a watery texture and is mild on skin. And another thing, the content is really low for a 500+ price.
