The move towards natural, chemical-free skincare products is becoming more and more mainstream. Consumers are becoming more and more aware of the fact that the things we put on our skin affect both our health and the health of our environment. Additionally, even if we are using pristine and homemade products, we can still be disrupting the regeneration cycle of the skin. The terms “natural” and “naturally derived” have no significance. When we apply drying products on the skin, it actually signals the skin to produce more oil to compensate for the oil that is being stripped away. The same “like treats like” principle also goes for dry skin, according to holistic skincare expert Dr. When treated with the right ingredients–both outside and inside– the skin will increase cellular turnover and look soft and smooth… Especially when it comes to the beauty of our skin! In my opinion, the most significant change we can make for better skin is balancing our hormones naturally through diet, lifestyle and a few carefully selected supplements. It sounds counterintuitive, but it leaves the skin clean and soft. I warm a few drops of my facial oil between my fingers and press it on my face after toning in the morning. Try changing up your hair care routine with products that are fragrance-free and don’t contain paraben preservatives. After years of being a hamster, trying different products and methods that will work for my skin type, I'm here to share with you some of what I've learned and discovered - my skin care regimen for acne-prone, oily, sensitive skin. I have very oily, sensitive and acne-prone skin. My face is also sensitive that I really have to be careful with the products that I use that's why I read the ingredients label of the products that I use not just for my skin but for my hair too. These cause premature aging and can clog pores, can instantly give more acne especially if we have the same skin type! Most shampoos contain this and could really irritate the skin (if you're getting body acne especially on your back and shoulders, this might be the culprit) The typical skin care regimen is cleanse, tone and moisturize but what about for people with acne-prone, oily and sensitive skin? Before the next step, make sure your skin is already dry and make sure your face towel is clean. What I also love about this toner is that it contains not only tomato extract, but also chamomile, lavender and rosemary that are perfect for treating inflamed acne. 5-10 minutes after toning (enough time for the toner to be absorbed by the skin), this is where Dan's regimen highlight comes in - 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. This is the time you give your skin to absorb the benzoyl peroxide. I hope this skin regimen works for me for a very long time. I am still wishing that this skin care regimen works for me for a very long time.
Most product I've tried in the past have dried out my skin and only caused me to breakout even more. I have been using this regimen for just over 3 months now and it has done wonders for my skin! This is the only routine that has been able to combat my acne and ugly skin and keep it under control for more than a week. This line (especially the toner and cleanser) has done wonders for my skin! Really love the kit and the shipping was fast too :) I have oily, combination and sensitive skin. I am a 21 year old male and I have searched high and low for skin care to keep my acne at a minimal, this is by far the BEST thing I have found. I have very sensitive skin and this stuff works wonders. I've used a gazillion products in the past and nothing has worked as well as this. I still get the occasional blemish here and there, but i have never been happier with my skin! I have oily sensitive skin and the Mia made my skin breakout horribly. So, I immediately stopped using the Mia and purchased the MTTO Acne or Oily Skin Regimen. I have been using this regimen for about 3 weeks and, while the results are slow, they are exceedingly worth it! The products in this regimen are wonderful and a great value.

In general, the natural oil cleansing method is a great solution for any skin type, though the combinations of oils varies based on skin type (see below). The best combination of natural skin care options varies based on skin types: Switching to gentle and natural skin care options often goes a long way toward removing excess oil production, but in the meantime, there are some natural ingredients that can help prevent breakouts and remove excess oil. Moisturizing/Toning: Those with oily skin will need less moisturizing as skin adjusts, and often, the natural oils from oil cleansing are enough. Those with skin that is not typically oily or dry and that responds well to different types of products and makeup usually adjust very quickly to natural skin care options. My skin was more oily when I was younger and as I’ve transitioned to natural skin care options, it has become more “normal” so these are the options that I use: Those with dry or aging skin often benefit immediately from natural skin care options. Often, using natural oils on the skin helps the skin to balance oil production and stop being dry to begin with. The supplements that seemed to have made the biggest difference in skin health for me are: Fermented Cod Liver Oil – for the Vitamins A, D and K, Omega-3s and Antioxidants, all which are great for the skin. I am rather new to this site and it is very informative but with every acne issue, most of the time, harsh chemicals are recommended. What about the people with super sensitive skin who cannot use Benzoyl peroxide or Salicylic acid? What about the people who do not respond well to skin peels; even the ones that are suppose to be ideal for sensitive skin. I do not want to risk having extreme dry skin from these chemicals even if people say that they are the most effective. Also, having dry skin is a form of irritation so who is to say that that will not contribute to more acne in the long run? At night, I wash with the Cetaphil and apply aloe vera from the plant or use the ultra hydrating Cetaphil lotion (that leaves my face rather oil though). I also use the L’oreal hydrafresh toner off and on. I eat yogurt and cheese and drink milk all the time. It also does not have the peeling effect that BP has. Tocopheryl Acetate is the good version that does not clog your pores). I go to an all-natural spa and they use the blue light on me. I also use the L’oreal hydrafresh toner off and on. As I started using herbal products and reduced the quanity of the products, my skin started living again. So now, gentle skin care and a zinc tablet with some other vitamins and I am done for the day without worrying to see new zits the next morning. As of right now I would say to read up on the caveman diet and hygiene as it will most likely help your sensitive skin much like it helped mine.
