Through the years, I’ve spent a lot of money trying out different products to deal with acne, blackheads, and oily skin. To start out, I researched a lot about natural skincare and learned about the oil cleansing method (where you actually use oil to cleanse your face), read about different kinds of oils, and found different resources for cosmetic compound developments. I decided that I wanted to try a combination of oil cleansing, all natural skin exfoliant, and the old fashioned method of using cold cream at night. The oil cleansing method relies on the theory that clean oil is the best way to draw out the dirt and oil that clogs pores. My next step in developing my own skincare was deciding what kinds of oil to use, I’ve read about the benefits of grape seed oil, almond oil, jojoba oil, extra virgin olive oil (EVOO), and extra virgin coconut oil (EVCO) for your skin. I kept all of this in mind while developing my skincare routine, and still decided to stick with using extra virgin coconut oil on my face, while mixing it with other products. I still wanted to use coconut oil to cleanse my face, though, so I thought the best compromise would be to combine coconut oil with other elements to clean and exfoliate my skin. The natural skincare regimen I decided on starts out with the old housewife tradition of nightly removing makeup with cold cream. (read recipe below) To remove my makeup, I use my hand to apply the cold cream all over my face (except my eyes, more on that later), and then use a clean, slightly damp washcloth to wipe it all off. On days I don’t wear makeup, I just skip to the next step up gently scrubbing my face with the exfolient I made Then I apply a very light coat of the cold cream and allow it to sit greasily on my face all night, which softens my skin, reduces the appearance of scars and fine lines, and also reduces my skin’s tendency to overproduce oil. In the morning I just dab at my face with a warm, damp washcloth and apply my makeup as usual. I moisten a cotton ball with this solution, wipe it across my eyes until all of the makeup is removed, and then begin the rest of my skincare regimen as mentioned in the above paragraph.

You can create an acne skin care routine with whatever brand products you choose. A good acne skin care routine is so important for blemish-prone skin. But your daily acne skin care routine doesn't need to take a lot of time - just a few minutes twice a day. Follow the guidelines below to help keep your skin feeling refreshed and clean. Make sure you're using the right cleanser for your skin. Harsh soaps won't clear your acne, but they will irritate your skin. Alcohol-free products are the best choices if your skin is irritated by acne treatments or if you have lots of open pimples. But if toners or astringents seem to over-dry or irritate your skin, don’t use them. Ditto if you're using prescription acne medications (they already dry out your skin). You aren't going to harm your skin by not using a toner . Step 3: Apply your acne treatment medications. Many acne medications over-dry the skin, leaving the skin thirsty for moisture. Now that you've got your daily skin care routine down, let's get you an effective acne treatment plan to go along with it.

The move towards natural, chemical-free skincare products is becoming more and more mainstream. Consumers are becoming more and more aware of the fact that the things we put on our skin affect both our health and the health of our environment. Additionally, even if we are using pristine and homemade products, we can still be disrupting the regeneration cycle of the skin. The terms “natural” and “naturally derived” have no significance. When we apply drying products on the skin, it actually signals the skin to produce more oil to compensate for the oil that is being stripped away. The same “like treats like” principle also goes for dry skin, according to holistic skincare expert Dr. When treated with the right ingredients–both outside and inside– the skin will increase cellular turnover and look soft and smooth… Especially when it comes to the beauty of our skin! In my opinion, the most significant change we can make for better skin is balancing our hormones naturally through diet, lifestyle and a few carefully selected supplements. It sounds counterintuitive, but it leaves the skin clean and soft. I warm a few drops of my facial oil between my fingers and press it on my face after toning in the morning. Are you making the transition to natural skincare?
Most product I've tried in the past have dried out my skin and only caused me to breakout even more. I have been using this regimen for just over 3 months now and it has done wonders for my skin! I have been using this for about a month now and I have to say this is a holy grail skin care routine! Let me just say that I have struggled with acne and just overall UGLY SKIN for years! This is the only routine that has been able to combat my acne and ugly skin and keep it under control for more than a week. This line (especially the toner and cleanser) has done wonders for my skin! Really love the kit and the shipping was fast too :) I have oily, combination and sensitive skin. I am a 21 year old male and I have searched high and low for skin care to keep my acne at a minimal, this is by far the BEST thing I have found. I have very sensitive skin and this stuff works wonders. I've used a gazillion products in the past and nothing has worked as well as this. I still get the occasional blemish here and there, but i have never been happier with my skin! I have oily sensitive skin and the Mia made my skin breakout horribly. So, I immediately stopped using the Mia and purchased the MTTO Acne or Oily Skin Regimen. I have been using this regimen for about 3 weeks and, while the results are slow, they are exceedingly worth it! The products in this regimen are wonderful and a great value.
Dermatologists agree that the most effective way to manage oily skin is to cleanse your face both morning and night. "Always use a gentle cleanser since harsh soaps can trigger the skin to increase oil production," April Armstrong, MD, assistant professor of dermatology at the University of California, Davis, says. They’re great for people with acne, but they’re also fine for people whose problem is just oily skin," Armstrong says. People often have to try several products before they find the one that works best for them." Wash with warm water, not hot, because temperature extremes can irritate skin. "I’m not a big fan of astringent toners because they tend to irritate the skin and can lead to more oil production," Cambio says. "Still, if people like using them, I recommend applying toners only on oily areas of the skin, such as the forehead, nose, and chin. "There’s a myth that some people have dry skin , some people have oily skin.
As a teenager I had bad acne as and most of the acne products I tried did nothing more than dry out my skin, leaving it irritated and flaky. I began to build a natural skin care regimen from the information I had required and read about, it worked excellent for me and I never turned back. “Use oil to wash my face?!” Yes Oil is an excellent and gentle skin cleanser for all skin types. It deep cleans, soothes and most importantly does not strip the skin. Instead it leaves the skin soft, clean, and moisturized. I split the oils up by 1/3 and shake. Have fun mixing up different oils and ratios and finding the best mixture for you. It treats acne and exfoliates and balances the ph of the skin. A 1:1 ratio works great for my skin but you may need to adjust the ratio according to your skin needs. Aloe vera supplies oxygen to the skin cells, rejuvenates, hydrates and makes the skin flexible. After years of being a hamster, trying different products and methods that will work for my skin type, I'm here to share with you some of what I've learned and discovered - my skin care regimen for acne-prone, oily, sensitive skin. I have very oily, sensitive and acne-prone skin. My face is also sensitive that I really have to be careful with the products that I use that's why I read the ingredients label of the products that I use not just for my skin but for my hair too. These cause premature aging and can clog pores, can instantly give more acne especially if we have the same skin type! Most shampoos contain this and could really irritate the skin (if you're getting body acne especially on your back and shoulders, this might be the culprit) The typical skin care regimen is cleanse, tone and moisturize but what about for people with acne-prone, oily and sensitive skin? Before the next step, make sure your skin is already dry and make sure your face towel is clean. What I also love about this toner is that it contains not only tomato extract, but also chamomile, lavender and rosemary that are perfect for treating inflamed acne. 5-10 minutes after toning (enough time for the toner to be absorbed by the skin), this is where Dan's regimen highlight comes in - 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. This is the time you give your skin to absorb the benzoyl peroxide. I hope this skin regimen works for me for a very long time. I am still wishing that this skin care regimen works for me for a very long time.
